Evil Dead II bootleg director's cut

Post by Ronnie Rotten »

Working on a new cut of the film,

After a week of editing i discovered some new
hidden things... There is a chance that the film can be put back together in a former state, but it's gonna take some time researching further.

Another weekend working on the new cut, most of the work is done now.
The first part of the film has been reworked, now it's time to begin work on the last part.

The original editor of this film is a genius, truly amazing results i have achieved so far...
The project is gonna take a few more weeks to complete and fine tune.

To be continued...

That sounds so cool! Can't wait to see it.

Is this going to have all known footage from the Workprint and the Mexican TV Cuts?

And when you say "hidden things" you mean footage recently undiscovered!?

It's going to be a surprise, i discovered these hidden things a few years ago.
Now is the time to reveal them to others, i did indeed had to wait for the missing scènes from the mexican tv version.

I can tell you, but where's the fun in that...
To this day undiscovered yes, it's not the missing ed head chop, it's the next best thing...

It's kinda hard to explain anyhow. You will have to wait and see it for yourself...

And i think in the film Evil Ed made back in 1995 they are taunting at this.

And it's a funny thing, i remember an alternate vortex ending i once saw way back on tv here in the netherlands.

Maybe my dad still has it on VHS...

All goes silent for a moment when ASH is in the center of the vortex and he sees things from the cabin floating around him, and music is playing in the background from a gramophone player, an old one...
He even looks amazed at it for a moment.
And he is no longer rotating but gliding through the vortex.

Time is running backwards real fast on the grandfathers clock that floats in the vortex too.

And when he exits the vortex is different too, a hole breaks open in the sky and ASH comes falling down to the camera.

This tv version they showed here was censored in different places than the mexican tv version?

It was only around 10 years ago that the Mexican Version was finally confirmed to exist when it was uploaded to YouTube, so I'm interested to see any new footage you have?

I'm going to search and see if it was recorded to tape when it was broadcasted here...
I hope so, i will let you know how it turns out.
Almost vacation, so i have the time to search for it.

Update, the project is still alive.
I could not find the vortex ending on VHS, but the cut will be finished within a couple of weeks.

I'm sorry for the late reply,

It's been a while indeed, been busy with work and around the house.
The good news is that the project is still alive, but i want it too be perfect...
Thank you btw for asking, i have restored many scenes so far, the whole movie now has a different pacing.
It's going the be worth the long wait...

Ps, the infamous ed scene has been reworked as well
Most of the work has been put into restoring this scene... this is my gift to the die hard fans like myself, this scène is now has much more tension than it did before.

If you would like too see it contact me, i would love too hear your feedback.

I can't believe I have not seen this post until now. It reads like complete fiction.

It's not, this project is still alive and kicking. The thing is i had some drawbacks, had to rework a lot of scènes. Wait and see, i will finish the new cut soon. There is no date set, so please be patient...
