Title: question about ash's last name Post by: grail on September 09, 2007, 10:07:16 PM Sorry if this is something that gets brought up a lot. I'm confused about something, and figured this would be a good place to ask.
I've always thought that Ash's last name was Lambert, but I've been seeing him referred to as Ash Williams (like on wikipedia). If his last name is Williams, then where did Lambert come from? I've been calling him Ash Lambert for the past 15 or so years, and I'm not the only one. Any help on this? As far as the movie series goes, his last name is never referenced. He's referred to as Ash Williams in comics and video games, but these are arguably unofficial. ...Lambert? Really? Although in the 80's Sam Raimi referred to him as Ash Holt ;D In all my years of being interested in the Evil Dead movies I have never heard him be referred to as Ash Lambert. Like I said, it's not just me. A lot of people I've talked to, and have known, always used "Lambert." You can even find some people referring to him as Ash Lambert online, when talking about Evil Dead on forums, etc.
