Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn (1987)
Evil Dead II, the Sequel to the Ultimate Experience in Grueling Terror
(1987) (end title)
The Story:
A sequel/remake of the film The Evil Dead. A young man named Ash takes his girlfriend Linda to a secluded cabin, and plays back a professor's tape recorded recitation of passages from the Book of the Dead. The spell calls up an evil force from the woods which turns Linda into a monstrous Deadite, and threatens to do the same to Ash. When the professor's daughter and her entourage show up at the cabin, the night turns into a non-stop, grotesquely comic battle with chainsaw and shotgun on one side, demon horde and flying eyeball on the other.

My views:
Kind of strange how this movie tells the story from Evil Dead part 1 but in a slightly different way. So kind of a remake instead of a sequel.
It still is a pretty good movie, plenty of gore, and the scene of Ash's hand being posessed and turning against him is really hilarious. Personally i have kind of a strange feeling when watching this one because of the unexplained sort-of-remake, because Evil Dead 1 was pretty good and i don't think it is right of the makers to ignore the events of part 1.
But besides from that it is entertaining for horror-fans everywhere.
