[Official THQ "Boomstick" Website]
[Windows Media Trailer]

Bruce Campbell returns in March of 2003 to voice Ash once again in the latest Evil Dead game, Evil Dead: Fistfull of Boomstick, but this time, Ash is really ready for action with classic weapons, magic abilities, and lots more.

For fans, the best aspect of this new game may be that it's going to be true to the original films with a genuine mix of action, gore, suspense, and traditional campy Campbell comedy. Of course, the cool Evil Dead weapons aren't bad either - there's the shovel, the chainsaw-arm and plenty of "boomsticks". Players will also be able to, of course, wield a weapon in each hand. Plus, players will be able to fully dismember enemies.

On top of all that though, Ash finally has magic abilities this time around! He'll have a number of spells, which gives him more power and a wider range of attacks.

So, with all these cool new tricks, it's no wonder that the game sounds to be a bit tougher. Among other things, there can be up to 50 enemies at one time on the screen for Ash to hack. He'll also be travelling through time as there's environments based on the town of Dearborn in a number of different time periods including colonial, Civil War era and present day.

Even Campbell sounds pretty impressed with the whole experience, "Collaborating with THQ on the development of Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick has been a great experience. The Evil Dead universe translates perfectly to a compelling interactive experience so fans can look forward to destroying hordes of Deadites on their PlayStation 2 and Xbox."

So, stay tuned - we'll have more on this as it comes in!
