The Evil Dead Evil Dead 2 Army Of Darkness The Cellar Main

Developers: Heavy Iron Studios
Formats: PC/Playstation
Released: Halloween 2000

Ashes 2 Ashes is a game based on the Evil Dead trilogy movies. It's is been released by THQ and in development by Heavy Iron Studios many of whom worked on the great adventure/RPG 'Parasite Eve' for the Playstation. Raimi's movie house Renaissance pistures are also said to be involved.

Little is know about the story but that it is said to be set some time after the ending of Army Of Darkness. It once again involves Ash and The Book Of The Dead and seems Ash returns to the cabin for some reason and must once again do battle with the evil deadites.

The game is done in much the same way as the other Playstation horror classic Resident Evil with 3d characters on pre rendered backgrounds although it is been said that there will be less of those annoying loading times here. Also the game is said to be non-linear which will homefully allow for extra longativity and added replay-value. Let's just hope is isn't a short as recent Res Evil games either.

The set pieces include area's straight from the film plus some spooky new ones. Also Bruce Campbell is doing the voice over for Ash, it is not know but doubtful if there will be any real video footage used. Bruce, the man behind Ash in the trilogy is no stranger to doing video game voice overs and can be heard in 'Pitfall 3D' and 'Broken Helix' on the Playstation.
