The Games of December
Here's what you'll be buying (or getting at Christmas)
and playing in the final month of the year.
November 29,
2000 - In December, the wave finally breaks. The year ends, the
holiday season ends, and the torment inflicted upon game reviewers and the
market at large ends, as the last of the games published in time for
shoppers to grab them is released. And curiously enough, they're not even
all of them that bad. Fans of RPGs that lie just slightly out of the
mainstream have the retro Lunar 2 and the off-beat Persona 2. If racing's
your thing, you can try Ducati and Ricky Carmichael for two wheels, Colin
McRae for four, or SeaDoo for none at all.
Of course, there's always Evil Dead, which is worthwhile if only in
that it reassures us that bad games do still exist.
