Why does Ash go back to the cabin in the first
place? |
 |
The
game takes place eight years after the films. Ash has returned to
his normal life and has a new girlfriend, Jenny. However, lately
he's been having horrible nightmares about the Necronomicon,
deadites, the woods and other strange things. With a lot of
convincing by Jenny and accompanied by her, Ash returns to the cabin
in order to confront his fears and hopefully put an end to the
nightmares. But once there, he is again faced with the challenge of
battling deadites and other evil forces that have crossed over to
our world because of the Necronomicon.

2)
Why was the name of the game changed? |
 |
After
doing a trademark search, it turned out that there was already a
game called Ashes To Ashes. So, we were faced with having to find
another subtitle. We decided on Hail to the King because we really
liked it and it is already associated with Evil
Dead.

Will EDHTTK be out on PS2? |
 |
There
will not be a port of HTTK for PS2, although the PS1 version will
run on the PS2. And we are talking about doing a full sequel for
PS2.
|
 |
5)
Will there be blood and gore? |
 |
Of
course. It wouldn’t be Evil Dead without blood and
gore!
|
 |
6)
Will Linda be in the game? |

knows...

There

|

 |
Due to
time constraints, there will not be a playable demo. But we will
continue to release a wide range of game assets such as screenshots,
AVI’s of gameplay, one-liners from Bruce, etc. Keep checking the
website!

 |
10)
What will be the average retail price? |
 |
The
retail prices for the game have not been determined
yet.
|
 |
11)
How do the new locations compare to the originals? |
 |
Our
goal is to provide some familiar environments from the films as well
as cool, new environments unique to the game. The game itself is
basically divided into two halves - the woods and ancient Damascus,
each having a wide range of subareas. In the woods, the cabin and
other areas seen in the films are faithful recreations. The Damascus
environments are very different from the woods, which will allow for
a lot of variety, and are also very cool and atmospheric. Overall,
the graphics are simply amazing.

 |
12)
The Delta. Will you be able to drive the Delta? |
 |
Because
of the nature of the game, you won’t be able to drive the Delta.
However, it is in game and factors into gameplay at a certain point.
|
 |
13)
Why does Ash have both hands in some of the
screens? |
 |
Early
in production, the design called for Ash to start the game with his
gloved hand like seen at the end of Army of Darkness. At that point,
the player (as Ash) would have to find the chainsaw, which would
then be a two-handed weapon until such point the player found the
straps and such that would allow Ash to attach it at the wrist and
make it a one-handed weapon. The screenshots of Ash with both hands
were preliminary shots very early in production before we changed
the design, in which Ash now attaches the chainsaw to his wrist (in
Raimi-like fashion) at the beginning of the game. Let’s face it -
the first thing players will want to do is run around and kill
deadites with the chainsaw, so why hold them up?!
