Who is doing the musical score, and what type of music will be in the game?
Tommy Tallarico is creating all of the music and sound effects for the game. Tommy has many years of experience in the industry and is one of the premiere sound and music people in the games biz. The style of music is orchestral in nature, and is inspired by various types of scores used in films. In fact, we are recording a full orchestra for some key areas of the game. The music will definitely enhance the cinematic feel.

Will you have beginning and ending movies and if so, will they give a history of the movie trilogy?
Yes, the game includes a full blown pre-rendered intro and outro as well as several cutscenes throughout the game. There are roughly 30 – 40 minutes of cinematics that allow the story to unfold. The first section of the game intro is an Evil Dead recap in the same vein as the films. It will bring everyone up to speed on the history and set up the new story. Right now, the music and sound effects are being created for the recap, and when finished we will probably put it on the Evil Dead website as a sneak peek. So stay tuned!

Will there be any boss enemies to fight—and will they be recognizable from the movies?
There are several boss characters Ash will encounter as he makes his way through the game. Each is unique and very cool. Some may be recognizable from the films… you'll have to wait and see.

How many one-liners will the player be able to trigger?
There are roughly 30 or more one-liners that the player can trigger using the one-liner button. And the cool thing is that the one-liners can affect enemy AI – deadites might become more or less aggressive. We will be recording even more one-liners next month when Bruce is back in town for his voiceover pickup session. Speaking of which, we will be holding a one-liner contest this month. Winners will get their one-liners in the game, so stay tuned for details on evildeadgame.com!

How will the weaponry be upgradeable?
Players will find weapon upgrades throughout the game. The player can choose which of the standard weapons on which to use the upgrade piece. The upgrade will then augment the power of that existing weapon.

Will there be combos and finishing moves?
Yes, there will be finishing moves for most of the enemies. When a deadite takes a certain amount of damage, it will go into a "hurt idle" animation at which point Ash can gut him with the chainsaw, then use the weapon in his other hand to finish him off. Ash will even throw out a one-liner before delivering the final blow. Classic Evil Dead.

Can I sign up to be a beta tester?
Beta testing is typically used for PC games, especially those with multiplayer components. Being Evil Dead is primarily for consoles and has no multiplayer mode, we will not be using beta testers.

What are the minimum PC requirements, and what graphic cards will the game support?
Currently, the minimum PC specs are set at Pentium II 233MHz with 32 MB RAM, Windows 95/98/00, a 3D graphics accelerator video card and standard peripherals (e.g. keyboard, mouse, etc.). The game will support the major makes and models of graphics cards. Stay tuned for more details on supported chipsets.

Will you include the famous 'Sam-cam" running through the woods?
Yes, the Sam-cam is in the game. Due to the style of gameplay in Evil Dead and survivor horror games in general, the Sam-cam will be seen in some of the cinematics but not during gameplay because it is technically not possible to create that type of camera effect using pre-rendered, animating background streams. However, rest assured it is in the game. It wouldn't be Evil Dead without it!

How long will it take to finish the game?
We estimate the game will take roughly 16 - 20 hours to complete depending on the skill level of the player. Our goal was to not make the game too long or too short. Because so many games are released one after the other, we felt it made more sense to create a game that players would actually have time to finish. Too often, gamers find themselves abandoning a game mid-way through because they want to move on to the next cool game that just hit the shelves. We would rather see players start Evil Dead and fully experience it by actually getting to the end!
