Mr. Reese voiced several concerns about THE EVIL DEAD: THE BOOK OF THE DEAD Limited Edition DVD with respect to the level of Tom Sullivan's involvement on the project. While appreciating Mr. Reese's feedback, I have removed Mr. Reese's posting to our message board for various concerns on my part. A copy of my email to Mr. Reese is included below. Mr. Reese can be contacted at DARKAGEPRODUCTIONS@hotmail.com.
Hi Patrick,Welcome to Mobius Home Video Forum, and thanks for your interest in the forum.
While I understand your frustration regarding your colleague Tom Sullivan's involvement in ABE's THE EVIL DEAD: THE BOOK OF THE DEAD DVD, as webmaster of Mobius I've made the decision to remove your posting at our forum. With all due respect to your concerns, our public forum is not really the place for ABE's creative partners to directly debate or question behind-the-scenes decisions on ABE's part that we at the forum have no direct knowledge of. This matter is really a private one between Dark Age Productions and ABE, which hopefully can be resolved amicably. While your posting is certainly of interest to us at the forum as we're quite interested to learn as much as possible about THE EVIL DEAD release, it's not fair to either you or ABE to use Mobius as a platform to resolve grievances without both parties willingly agreeing to do so.
My ultimate interest as administrator at Mobius is treating all our participants with fairness and integrity. While I don't agree that directly confronting ABE on our message boards without due process is fair to either of you or ABE, I'd be willing to publish a statement or press release at Mobius on your behalf if you'd like to detail your concerns to present your perspective. That way, ABE may decide at its discretion whether to respond to the statement rather than feeling compelled to do so via a direct confrontation on a public message board, which puts ABE in an awkward position at best. Please note that my interest in this matter is not to take sides with ABE; had ABE done the reverse in this situation by pursuing a private grievance via a response to a posting of yours at our forum, my action would be the same and I would be writing ABE instead. I've attached a copy of your original posting to this email for your reference and am copying Michael Felsher at ABE so he is aware of its content. Again, let me reiterate that it's not my intent to silence your perspective, and I would be glad to publish a release or statement at our forum on your behalf. However, I'm not comfortable with Mobius being used for direct confrontations concerning private business matters that we have no direct knowledge of or means of confirming.
Your understanding of my situation is appreciated. Please don't hesitate to contact me at your convenience should you have concerns or questions.
Sincerely,
Todd Harbour
