Professor Knowby Actor: John Peaks

It's all his fault. This university professor went scrounging through Castle Candar in jolly ol' England and came up with the Necronomicon ex mortis - roughly translated (VERY roughly translated -ed.) "Book of the Dead." (Actually, the *true* translation would be: "Book of the Dead of Death"...but never mind. - ed.) After reading aloud the passages of the Necronomicon in his cabin in the woods, the Professor "accidentally" summons the Evil Dead, who off his wife Henrietta then possess her (Kain - how about some links to other characters when their names are mentioned?). Squeamish pansy that he is, Knowby doesn't dismember his wife, but only buries her in the fruit cellar, so that she can burst out later on at the exact moment on the tape where he says he buried her in the fruit cellar. What happens between the time where he buries his wife and Ash arrives at the cabin is unknown; but Knowby appears to Ash and his pals in EDII as some sort of ghost and tells his daughter Annie that the extra pages of the Necronomicon that she discovered can save them; then he vanishes.
