CHARACTERS

Ash is played by a rather young Bruce
Campbell. He along with his friends and sister go up to the cabin for
a nice quiet weekend. When the deadites first attack he is the first to
try go get help but soon realise they are trapped out in the woods.
For most part of the rest of the film it is up to Ash to keep things going and take care of everyone. It isn't until his friends begin to turn into evil demons that he really has to take care of things and so must find a way to battle the evil and dispell the deaites. |

Scott is one of Ash's friends. He is played by Hal Delrick and along
with Ash is the only male member of the group. He's the kind of sarcastic
joker of the lot and when Cheryl first hears the noises in the cellar and
outside he just jokes about it.
He's actually a coward and when he finall realises what's going on he doesn't care about any of the others and just wants to save his own ass. He attempts to escape the cabin and run out into the woods but the evil deadites aren't willing to let anyone get away so easy. |

The first in the line for the part of Linda is
played by Betsy Baker. She is Ash's girlfriend. She is basically as close
to a love interest as there is in the film.
After Cheryl is possessed she stabs Linda in the leg with a pencil and so Ash won't leave her to try escape the cabin. She soon rises again now possessed but Ash is unable to do what he must to destroy the evil inside her (he can't cut her up with his chainsaw). |

Ellen Sandweiss plays Cheryl. She is Ash's
sister and is the first one to feel the precence of the evil in the cabin.
When she tries to tell the others they just think she's crazy and none of
the believe her. She wants to escape but the soon find they are trapped
after the bridge is knocked down.
Soon the others begin to realise what Cheryl was saying was true but by then it is too late as each of them begin to fall victim to the dead. |

Shelly is Scotts girlfriend but he doesn't seem
to care much about her. She is one of the first of the party to become
possessed by the evil and it's up to Ash and Scott to deal with her.
After Scott sends her to get some rest she is attacked by a demon and reappears now possessed. With the help of a dagger, the fireplace and an axe Ash and Scott first realise that the only way to truely rid those possessed by the evil is through the act of bodily dismemberment. |
