The deadites used in The Evil Dead 2 are much the same as the ones in the first movie. Here the wind demon (using Raimi's Shakey-Cam) is used to a much higher extent as it lurks in the woods around the cabin. Once again the deadite can't be seen until they possess a living victim. It isn't until the end of the movie and Annie reads a passage from the book of the dead that it is actually seen in it's solid form.

The others begin to possess the small group in the cabin, one getting into Ash and even one getting into his hand. Probably the best of the lot is the witch in the cellar. This is Henrietta, Proffessor Knoby's wife who was possessed and buried in the cellar. She is played by director Sam Raimi's brother, Ted Raimi.

The deadites were brought into this world when Professor Knoby read the passages from the book and opened a doorway to another world. Of course the only way to rid the demons is still by the act of bodily dismemberment so Ash equips his chainsaw and shotgun for one hell of a showdown before they must recite the passages from the book and dispel the evil once and for all.
