Arthur
Lord Arthur is the leader of the castle of Candar. He doesn't get on too well with Ash and finds him to be a coward and a buffoon. And you know what? He's right! Also the great enemy of Duke Henry the Red but the two must join together if the wish to defeat the Army Of Darkness.

Bad Ash
Bad Ash is Ash's evil side. He first appears in Evil Dead 2 attacking Ash through a mirror and plays a larger part in Army Of Darkness when Ash splits in two, into his good and evil sides. He then leads the army of the dead into an attack on the castle of Candar.

Bobby-Joe
Jake's girlfriend who brings Ed Getly and Annie Knowby to Annies father's cabin via a trail in the woods after the bridge is taken out. Runs off into the woods and is attacked by the trees and killed.

Book of the Dead
AKA Necronomicon ex Mortis and Morturom Demonto the book of the dead is the cause of all of Ash's troubles. It was written long ago by the dark ones, when the seas ran red blood. It was this blood the was used to ink the book. In the year 1300 AD, the book disappeared. That is until Professor Knowby finds it in the rear chamber of the castle of Candar and brings it to the cabin in the wood where, through recitation of the passages in the book he raises the spirits of the dead. When the Professors daughter, Annie, translates one of the passages she opens a rift through which Ash is sucked back to medieval England and must quest for the book in order to find and passage to send him back to his own time and rid the world of the deadites forever. The only thing is, the deadites have a great hunger for the book and will stop at nothing to get it.

Boom Stick
Ash's second weapon of choice along with his chainsaw. It's basically how Ash discribes his double barrel shotgun to the primitives of Candar in Army Of Darkness. Good for blasting all manner of evil living dead.

Candar Castle
The place where Ash is transported back to when he is sucked into the vortex along with the evil. Lead by Lord Arthur the people of Candar battle the deadites and need the Book of the Dead to destroy the evil for good. Ash gets the book and they beat the evil until roughly seven hundred years later Professor Knowby and his colleagues find the book in the rear chamber of the cabin and release the evil again.

Chainsaw
Ash's weapon of choice, particularly in Evil Dead 2 where he chops of his hand and replaces the stump with his trusty chainsaw. Comes close to sawing up Linda with it in The Evil Dead and does a good job a dipatching the deadites in the pit with it in Army Of Darkness. He then replaces it with a mechanical hand.

[D]

Dagger
A strange dagger which comes as a set with the Book of the Dead in the first two movies. It is made out of small bones and a tiny skull at the end of the handle. Scott uses it to kill Shelly, Linda uses it to attack Ash, Ash used it to stab Linda, Annie used it to accidently stab Jake and Ash's possessed hand used it to kill Annie.

Deadites
AKA The Evil Dead. The deadites are demons that have made their way into our world through the reading of passages of the Book of the Dead. They possess the living reclaiming what was once theirs, life!

Deathcoaster
After Ash raises the army of the dead he prepares for the battle by customising his Delta 88 Oldmobile in a killing machine with a huge revolving blade on the front. Handy for slicing up and running over all manner of deadites.

Delta 88 Oldsmobile
Ash's car which makes an appearance in all three films. It is sucked back in time with Ash to Candar and he customises it into the Deathcoaster before battling the Army Of Darkness.

Fake Shemps
Not part of the Evil Dead universe but an important part of the films. Fake Shemps are Sam Raimi's name for stand in's in his movies. The name is taken from the old Three Stooges when the real Shemp died they got a new person in to play him pretending to be the same Shemp but obviously wasn't.

Getly, Ed
Associate Professor to Professor Knowby Ed is with the Professor when they find the Book of the Dead in the rear chamber of Candar. He travels to the cabin with the Professors daughter Annie, gets possessed and gets sliced up with an axe by Ash.

Henry The Red
Duke of Shale, Lord of the Northlands and leader of its peoples. Henry is the sworn enemy of Arthur. But can the two forces join together to defeat the greater evil?

Jake
Jake works for the road department and is setting up a sign after the bridge to the Knowby Cabin is taken down. When Ed and Annie appear on the scene he tells them about a trail leading to the cabin which he'll take them along for a price. When they reach the cabin and find out what's going on Jake just wants to get out of there with his girl, Bobby-Joe. Meets a nasty death with Henriette.

Jenny
Ash's new girl in Hail To The King. Not been the brightest of people she suggests Ash return to the Knowby cabin to face his fear. He runs into more deadites and she gets captured.

Knowby, Annie
Professor Knowby's daughter who is with him when he finds the Book of the Dead. She brings more pages of the book to the cabin (lucky, cause Ash's burnt the originals) but finds Ash with a bloody chainsaw when she arrives. They lock Ash in the cellar but it isn't long before Annie discovers the truth behind her parents disappearance.

Knowby Cabin
The infamous cabin where Ash must survive two nights of bloody chaos. No wonder Ash and his friends got it so cheap, cause it's crawling with evil spirits which made their way into our world when Professor Knowby brought the Book of the Dead to the cabin and translates some of the passages. Ash returns to the cabin eight years later to confront his fears with his new girlfriend Jenny (not a good idea).

Knowby, Henriette
Professor Knowby's wife, she gets possessed by an evil spirit after the Professor reads the passages from the Book of the Dead. He kills her and buries her in the fruit cellar but that isn't the last of her as she reutns to cause Ash and the others more bloody mayhem. She plays like Cheryl did in the first movie as the witch in the cellar.

Knowby, Professor Raymond
It's this guys fault all the trouble started in the first place. After finding a hidden chamber in the Castle of Candar he along with his wife Henriette, daughter Annie and associate Ed Getly they stumbled across the Book of the Dead. He and Henriette bring it out to the cabin in the woods where he begins the translations and awakens the deadites from their ancient slumber.

Linda
Ash's girlfriend who is played but a different actress in each of the three movies, including a brief appearance by Bridget Fonda in Army of Darkness. She gets possessed and Ash lops her head off with a shovel in the first movie but that isn't the end of her as we find out in Evil Dead 2.

Mechanical Hand
Ash's new hand which he places on instead of his chainsaw. He uses the hand off an suit of armour and builds this new mechanical hand because people from our time can do that you know.

Possessed Hand
Ash's possessed hand. After Ash's hand gets bitten by Linda's possessed head it isn't long before a spirit makes it's way into it and starts beating up Ash with his own hand. Ash's gets his own back by slicing it off with a chainsaw but unfortunately that isn't the end of the havoc it's going to cause. It scuttles around the cabin and is the cause of both Bobby-Joe and Annie's deaths.

Scotty
One of Ash's friends that goes to the cabin with him in the first Evil Dead. When things start going bad Scotty is just out to save his own ass. He teaches Ash a thing or two about deadite slaying before turning into a complete wuss and running off by himself. You can guess what happens to him then.

Another one of Ash's friends. Shelly gets possessed just after Cheryl and is chopped into piece by Scotty.

Sheila
Ash's girl for Army Of Darkness. Shiela's brother was killed by Henry the Red's men and thinking Ash to be one of them knocks him into the pit with a rock. Of course she finds the truth and the two of them become romantically involved. That is until Bad Ash kidnaps her and turns her into his own deadite bride.

Williams, Ashley. J,
The hero of the Evil Dead trilogy. Ash makes a huge change in personality between The Evil Dead and Army Of Darkess. One mine he's a wussy college student and the next he's a bad ass zombie killer with a huge selection of cheesy one liners. Used chainsaws, swords, axes, shotguns and any other weapons he can get his hands on to slice and blast his way through the evil deadites.

Williams, Cheryl
Ash's sister who is the first one to get a taste of deadite possession and gets locked into the cellar by the others where she acts kind of like Henriette does in Evil Dead 2.

Wiseman John
The wiseman of Arthurs castle who believes Ash to be the one told of in the book to save the world from the deadites. He send Ash on the quest to find the book.
