1. After experimenting on
himself and apparently dying, Wilem Dafoe comes back to life and
there is a Darkman-ish type "zoom in" on his
eyes. |
2. After beating up the
bully and running of to the alley, Peter examines his hand as we see
it "transform". There's a shot here that reminds me of Ash watching
his hand "go bad". |
3. Just before Peter
attempts to swing from his web for the first time, he yells "Tally
hoe!" as Bruce did, when he swung from a rope in
AOD. |
4. The montage sequence
of Peter developing his costume is similar in style to montages in
Darkman. |
5. Bruce Campbell as the
ring announcer, 'nuff said. |
6. While Spidey is
beating up Uncle Bens killer, he pushes his face through 2 panes of
glass, not unlike the beating Liam Neeson receives in
Darkman. |
7. Ted Raimi, 'nuff
said. |
8. Spidey dangling under
the Goblins glider was reminiscent of Darkman swinging from a rope
under Durrants helicopter. |
9. In the scene where
Dafoe first talks to himself (or rather his Goblin alter ego), I
expected his mirror image to reach out and touch him, as Bruce's
evil reflection did in Evil Dead 2. |
10. When spidey catches
the Goblins multi prong spear by one of the blades with his hand, I
recalled the scene in AOD where Evil Sheila tries to spear Ash but
he catches the spear head with his mech hand right in front of his
face. |
11. The Goblins reaction
shot to the wall that Spidey is pulling down upon him during their
final battle reminded me of the reaction shot of the skeleton that
gets the net full of rocks dropped on him towards the end of
AOD. |
12. The shot of the
Goblins arm protruding from the rubble of the above mentioned wall
was pure Evil Dead all the way. |
13. If I remember
correctly, Darkman also ended with the hero declaring who he was...
"I'm Darkman/I'm Spiderman"...... |
