I tend to do better with Evanescence. Amy Lee is the best.

I usually have to get outside and go for a walk before I can come up with anything in the first place.

It helps me to listen to a song that is the tone of the story or chapter. Helps me get into the mindset.

When writing a screenplay I break the movie points into DVD chapter menus so I can keep track of what happens next.

I then write the first Act. Then the third. Then the middle Act combining the two. For some reason writing the start and finish of a script makes it seem more complete.

However, currently? WRITER'S BLOCK!

Has anyone ever been caught speaking dialogue out loud whilst outside on your own?

I have numerous times but don't explain. Occasionally I pretend i'm using a wireless phone headset. Or I hold a packet of cigarettes up to my ear... which is odd because I do have a phone in my pocket but i'm worried it'll ring while i pretend to talk. Anyway...?

Haha! No I haven't done that yet, but I do sit at my desk and usually walk around the house playing out parts of my movie to try and get the tempo right... so my girlfriend will hear me going on and on about random crap and talking to myself... She probably thinks I'm insane!

Heath Ledger locked himself in an apartment for a month, having his food delivered to him, during his prep for playing the Joker... unfortunately his commitment led him to acquire insomnia and depression. He died from an accidental overdose of anti-depressants and sleeping pills.

Sometimes art imitates life, but when life imitates art... it can be dangerous.

To think, the only actor who actually could top Jack Nicholson's joker, was taken before he could hear the compliments.

Sad RIP Heath.
